STRUCTURAL STEEL DETAILING MANAGER
Our long-time Client with an excellent reputation in their industry is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Structural Steel Detailing Manager for this IMMEDIATE and Excellent Direct Hire Opportunity!
Salary - $90,000 - $100,000 per year DOE
MUST HAVE STRUCTURAL STEEL EXPERIENCE

Job Location - Stanislaus County (Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, Patterson, Riverbank, Oakdale)
Hours - Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:45 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Review design drawings for project requirements and provide direction on fabrication preferences.
- Directs outside detailers to ensure company standards are followed.
- BIM coordination as needed on projects.
- Assist with detailer setup at project start to ensure correct templates are used.
- Manage and supervise outside detailers.
- Track detailing schedules.
- Maintain & update Detailing Tracking log per project
- Maintain & update Project Drawing log
- Review fabrication drawings for accuracy and presentation.
- Review fabrication drawings to contract design drawings
- Assist with in-house revisions for fabrication releases.
- Help troubleshoot NC, DXF, KSS files with Programmer and Project Administrator to ensure no errors with processing of import.
- Review erection drawings for accuracy and presentation.
- Controls models for all projects.
- Monitor procedures to ensure drawing standards are maintained to improve shop production and quality.
- Assist with Project Management as needed.
- Tekla training as needed.
- Ensure all like parts/lengths are using same piece marks
- Assist with programming as needed.
- Coordinate with detailer to ensure all items are included in the shop drawings
- Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure all drawings are sent to Erector in a timely manner
- Notify Erector of reasoning detailing notes weren’t included (if any)
- Review architectural drawings; if they call for areas being ground smooth, ensure that is included in erection drawings and noted at the specific area it applies.
- Create a drawing that shows members and AESS that require to be ground smooth
- Ensure Detailers issue Erection Drawing within 3 days of last fab release
- Review all final shop drawings to assure all approval comments were incorporated prior to release top production
Experience
- 5 to 10 years’ related experience as a BIM/Detailing Manager in the structural steel industry
- Thorough knowledge of fabrication, erection standards, and procedures, general knowledge of AISC standards and AWS codes. Knowledge of Tekla software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of structural steel design codes and standards (e.g., AISC, AWS).
- Understanding of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and erection methods.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on ensuring drawing accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
