JOB DESCRIPTION / SKILLS:

  • Estimator will generate and manage commercial estimates required for sales, pre-construction and bidding efforts. 
  • Provide estimates, budget control and studies for projects and potential projects during business development, pre-construction and construction phases of a project, knowledge of all scopes, systems, and assemblies. 
  • Estimates vary from design-build, guarantee maximum price estimates, to stipulated sum bids. 
  • Ability to complete full quantity take-offs to support accurate estimates for all disciplines in commercial and public work projects including, but not limited to civil and site work, structural, concrete, finishes, mechanical, and electrical. 
  • A complete understanding of the interrelationship of the cost of labor, material, equipment, and productivity in the unit costs used at each level of an estimate.
  • A seasoned Project Manager who has fostered lasting relationships with clients/subcontractors/inspectors, etc.  
  • Experience having overseen projects of 1-15 million and have working knowledge with reading drawings, drafting, RFI’s, change orders, identify potential exposures and/or risk involved while staying on schedule so projects are completed timely.  
  • The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of construction methods, provide a purposed construction schedule, processes and management practices; excellent analytical and problem solving skills; good communication skills; and be organized, efficient and responsive to the needs of internal and external clients alike.


Estimators are expected to:

  • Manage entirety of bidding process.
  • Build estimates based on a practical understanding of design, constructability, logistics, sequencing and means and methods of a project.
  • Be a key collaborator for new and existing subcontractor relationships for estimating, bidding and project award.
  • Prepare estimate presentations, special studies, budget control reports and estimating documents for projects and client presentations.
  • Understanding of market labor, and commodity conditions and impacts on construction costs.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs, variance and maintain quantity controls.
  • Proficient on a computer and utilizing Microsoft Office Suite

Job Summary

  • Provide training and abide all safety regulations required by PSM, OSHA, and State;
  • Abide all regulations required by NEC, NFPA 70 E, and State requirements;
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to maintain plant operations as well as new project support;
  • Performs duties to install, test, maintain, inspect, modify, and repair all automation equipment, components and controls systems using a thorough knowledge of electronics, robotics, fiber optic sensors, and pneumatic-hydraulic controls.
  • Trouble shoots and diagnoses cause of electronic or mechanical malfunctions using knowledge, manuals, SOPs, specifications and other workplace aids. Identifies root cause and corrective actions for equipment and system alarms and jams. Communicates directly with equipment suppliers, contractors and vendors as necessary.
  • Resolves and repairs all system faults and anomalies associated with installation, operation, maintenance, and connectivity problems, including changes, adjustments, and modifications to control code and standard operating parameters. Writes and debugs PLC Logic. Makes recommendations to for major corrective actions.
  • Uses computers, precision measuring instruments, hand and/or power tools and electrical repair or modification tools.
  • Performs routine preventative and corrective maintenance and testing on equipment. Performs a large variety of tests on all electrical and electronic systems. Dismantles, cleans, repairs and tests electrical, electronic and mechanical components. Heavy coordination with engineers and external sources for timely repairs or replacement of parts to ensure machine downtime is minimal. Maintains preventative maintenance logs and accurate records of all testing and repairs.
  • Manages and coordinates with team members to coordinate on-site installation of automation equipment. Exercising independent discretion, examining layout and anticipating difficulties and challenges. Based on technical expertise, recommends and implements improvements.
  • Provides guidance and maintenance training to production supervisors, manufacturing engineers, and maintenance mechanics in the operation, repair, maintenance, and logistics support of machinery and equipment.
  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and instruction manuals for operation, processes and maintenance of automation equipment. Maintains technical manuals and job files.
  • Follow and promote all health and safety rules, regulations and practices. Locks out equipment for proper and safe handling and servicing.
  • Troubleshoot problems dealing with plant instrumentation and automation equipment to include but not limited to: valves; pressure; temperature; level, flow, conductivity, speed, force instruments; motor controls; PLC’s, HMI’s, etc.;
  • Calibrate plant instruments to include but not limited to: valves; pressure, temperature, level, flow, pH, conductivity, weight, force and speed instruments;


Job requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED. AS degree in industrial controls technologies or related field or 3-5 years’ experience in instrumentation/automation field.
  • PLC, HMI or DCS certifications is preferred;
  • Calibration experience is a plus;
  • H.A.R.T. communication experience is a plus;
  • CMMS Software experience is preferred;

The Microbiology Manager is responsible for developing test protocols and procedures focused on the growth, structure and development. The position oversees microbiology laboratories in 4 locations that verify process controls and product quality. Fermentation, storage and bottling are critical operations the microbiology team monitors. The Microbiology Manager must be capable of troubleshooting and conducting research and development for various departments.


Essential Duties:

  • Develop and implement food safety and process standards – FSMA, GFSI, HACCP, HARPC
  • Provide fermentation support during the harvest (starters, primary and secondary)

Job Summary

Well established Food Processing client is seeking an experienced Sanitation / Operations Supervisor for this Excellent DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY. This position is responsible to clean and supervise the cleaning of equipment, holding tanks, floors, empty bins and water pipes by performing the following duties.  Under the direction of Director of Quality, directs day-to-day activities of the Sanitation department employees.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sanitation

  • Oversees the sanitation operations for the facility.
  • Verifies that sanitation is complete and acceptable each day prior to production.
  • Conducts swabbing and inspections to verify that sanitation is acceptable.
  • Reviews and analyzes USDA sanitation sheets to determine causes of nonconformity and corrective actions.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures designed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of sanitation operations.
  • Develops cleaning schedules and crewing.
  • Provides leadership and training for sanitation employees.
  • Participates in hiring and review of sanitation employees
  • Orders chemicals and equipment for sanitation operations
  • Works with the USDA to take correct any deficiencies


Production

  • Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  • Revises production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
  • Provides leadership and training to accomplish the production goals and objectives.
  • Review daily and weekly production plans with Production Manager to ensure maximum utilization of resources, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Track labor and raw product yields daily.  
  • Working knowledge of tray sealing equipment and industrial processes
  • Working knowledge of PLC controlled automated processes and manual processes required
  • Determine packaging and raw product production requirements.


Both

  • Promotes cannery floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Assists in training employees, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, safety management and accident investigation, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Oversee production and sanitation personnel to ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
  • Review labor requirements with Director of Quality. 
  • Ensure production processing lines are always prepared and fully operational. 
  • Ensure all areas are in compliance with sanitation, production and safety processes. Verify accuracy and quality of samples.

Education and/or Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operation Management, Agri-Business, Science or closely related fields a plus.  
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a production environment or combination of education and experience. 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in sanitation operations. Food safety, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and GMP knowledge.

This position primarily functions within the areas of Maintenance Management, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Maintenance Repair Operation Supplies (MRO), and Manufacturing Process and Equipment Reliability. The position also fully supports the Plant’s Capital Projects, Safety Management Program, and Good Manufacturing Practices aligned with the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (SQF, AIB, BRC). 


A balanced leader with strong technical skills who understands and embraces the maintenance staff’s mission of fully supporting a large, fast-paced, high-volume food production facility; hands-on experience working with mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical automation and control systems. Supervisory experience managing teams and leveraging member’s technical skills and knowledge to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot and implement technological advancements. Our well established and growing Food Processing Client is in search of an experienced Production Supervisor for this IMMEDIATE DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY! 


Under the direction of the department manager the Production Supervisor is responsible for carrying out all bottling assignments as scheduled in a safe and efficient manner. These assignments include bottling line(s) operation, employee hiring, training scheduling and discipline. You will be responsible to supervise production, cellar and maintenance workers in on your shift - up to approximately 20-25 employees. Other responsibilities include job description and SOP updating as necessary, production reporting, warehousing of produced goods, department housekeeping, equipment sanitation, material management, recycling and waste management. Overall will be responsible for all aspects of the bottling operations on assigned shift while offering a team effort for the department as a whole.


Essential Duties:

  • Understand and comply with all ISO 9001-2015, HACCP and GMP requirements and processes
  • Meet with the previous shift supervisor and maintenance leads prior to pre-shift meetings to discuss any issues that may affect your line productivity
  • Complete all safety requirements as in tailgate trainings, line checks and the overall safety awareness and commitment of staff
  • Reporting of daily shift production along with other required documentation.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings which will be conducted during the first 15 minutes of every shift where employees will be informed of daily tasks, goals, and issues followed by line clean up
  • Check and ensure proper set up of lines and materials
  • Ensure all product is being properly filled, sealed, decorated and coded to the current BOM specifications
  • Ensure both case and pallet tag printers are correct and legible 
  • Enter all issues and corrective actions in the Supervisors Log
  • Evaluate employees as necessary to advise them of their strengths and/or weaknesses
  • Ensure proper staffing is communicated to HR per production requirement. 
  • All employee time transactions in Paycom are to be reviewed and approved by the shift supervisor and signed by the employee at the end of each week or pay period
  • Ensure there is cross training being conducted to always have a backup for any position
  • Send in all vacation and other leave requests through Paycom
  • Assist Quality Assurance in keeping all Case print and Pallet tags current and correct
  • Inform, assist and/or assign all maintenance and line personnel including labs to help ensure optimum bottling performance 
  • Ensure all employees are following all company practices, policies and safety procedures.
  • Evaluate line employee’s performance constantly, with a written evaluation yearly.

Our very well established and growing Food Processing client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Quality Control Technician for IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY. This is a Full-Time Temp to Hire need with the possibility of converting to the Company's Payroll!!
 

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday with mandatory Saturdays as needed
  • During Training will work Day Shift - 6:00am-2:30pm for approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
  • Most likely will then be 12 Hour Night Shift - 6:00pm-6:30am, after training. 
  • INCLUDES OVERTIME PAY!


Job Scope:
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for implementing and adhering to the Quality Control program at the manufacturing site. This includes conducting Quality Control checks during production, verifying adherence to the mycotoxin testing protocol, conducting mycotoxin testing, verifying sanitation activities, and other responsibilities as needed.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• As directed and trained, conduct various tests for incoming ingredients, including sieve, NIR, moisture, and mycotoxin testing.
• Routinely check operator paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Routinely check label, bags and seals.
• Perform and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Working overtime is MANDATORY and requires full participation.
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in accordance to company policy.
• Perform all functions in accordance with sound safety practices and procedures.
• Report all safety violations and safety hazards to Shift Supervisor/Safety Manager immediately
• Participate in all safety programs


Qualifications:
• Must be computer literate
• Must have ability to accept temporary assignment changes to assist other areas of the plant, maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds of product routinely, and climbing a ladder to maintenance equipment from a catwalk.
• Must maintain assigned portion of master sanitation schedule.
• Must work in a safe, professional manner at all times.
• Must report any accidents, property damage, or near misses to a supervisor immediately.
• Must have the ability to be trained and certified to operate forklifts.
 

Other Qualifications:
• HACCP, GFSI, or SQF certification is a plus.
• Must have excellent communication skills to communicate with other employees and supervisors.
• Flexibility to be available to help cover for other Quality Control employees when called upon.
• Ability to read bin level and work schedule.
 

Must have experience working in Quality Control in a food manufacturing plant as described above.
