Responsibilities:

  • Determine labor, equipment and material requirements to complete project and use information to prepare bid/estimate proposal.
  • Submit  complete bid/estimate proposals to project owners, managers and/or  general contractors in a timely and professional manner, provide any  clarification on information submitted as needed.
  • Review  proposal specifications, drawings, pre-bid meetings and visit project  sites to determine scope of work required in preparing bid/estimate  proposal.
  • Provide current and potential customers/client's prompt professional service including design, planning and pricing assistance.
  • Provide administrative management of awarded contracts.
  • Maintain  documentation of quantities and value of work estimated/completed to  support forecasting for future project performance.
  • Provide  ongoing support to Construction/Operations for efficient and profitable  execution of work including scheduling, including procurement and change  order/supplemental work processes.
  • Monitor subcontractor's work.
  • Partner  with Contract Administrator to review and process financial aspects of  contracts (i.e.: billings, sub-contract payments, material payments,  collections, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Estimating Manager,  Construction Manager and field leadership, establishment of project  objectives, procedures, schedules and performance requirements. May  provide indirect or direct supervision of field crew members/foreman or  superintendents.
  • Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Manage project (responsible for all projects bid unless reassigned).
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
  • Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
  • Self-motivated,  team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain  positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  • Visit jobsites and pre-bid meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s  degree in civil engineering, Engineering Management, Construction  Management or equivalent number of years' Heavy Civil (Underground  Utilities/Grading/Paving) experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction.
  • Survey experience using GPS equipment/software.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and AutoCAD.
  • Must have an active valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Communication skills and positive interactions with a variety of customers and vendors required.

Job Location - Long Beach, CA


The  Project Engineer will support marine construction projects, focusing on  daily field coordination with crews, tracking production, and ensuring  work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.  Project Engineer will help communicate between the field and the office,  providing support to superintendent and foremen, maintaining accurate  production records, and assisting with scheduling and material  coordination. The Project Engineer may also serve as the Site Safety and  Health Officer (SSHO) or Quality Control (QC) Manager on U.S. Army  Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects, in compliance with EM 385-1-1  requirements.

  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Support  enforcement of MSHA, OSHA, Corps of Engineers, and company safety  policies. Participate in and lead safety meetings with field crews.  Monitor field activities for compliance with quality standards. Prepare  and maintain corresponding documentation as required to maintain  compliance.
  • Field Coordination: Work onsite to assist  superintendent and foremen in planning and executing daily work  activities. Coordinate labor, equipment, and material needs for upcoming  work. Communicate with Project Manager and quarry operations for rock  deliveries and other material sourcing. Verify field conditions and  adjust work plans as needed for efficiency and safety.
  • Production  Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs of crew  activities, production quantities, and equipment usage. Track material  quantities and document quantities for payment. Monitor progress against  production goals and report variances to Project Manager.
  • Surveying:  Perform progress surveys to verify installation of work and assemble  cross sections and bathymetry maps to provide project progress  documentation for the Project Manager and client.
  • Scheduling  & Planning: Assist in preparing project schedules. Identify  potential delays and work with the team to resolve them.
  • Other  Duties: Provide technical support for layout, surveying, and  documentation as needed. Assist in preparing project documentation,  including as-builts and progress photos.
  • Projects may require  employees to work out-of-town. Accommodations will be provided, but  employee must be able to work out of town for extended periods of time.  Some projects may require staff to work weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum  5 years of combined experience in roles such as Field Engineer, Project  Engineer, Project Superintendent, Construction Manager, or Project  Manager on marine construction or heavy civil construction projects.
  • Must  possess a valid California Driver’s license and have an acceptable  driving record that meets company fleet policy requirements.
  • Must possess or be able to qualify to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
  • Proficient  in construction document control including but not limited to  correspondence, RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and progress  payments.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working on USACE projects.
  • Familiarity  with EM 385-1-1 requirements for hazard identification, safety  compliance, accident prevention plans, and activity hazard analyses.
  • Completed EM 385-1-1 training appropriate for SSHO or QC Manager roles on USACE projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review  architectural drawings; if they call for areas being ground smooth,  ensure that is included in erection drawings and noted at the specific  area it applies.
  • Create a drawing that shows members and AESS that require to be ground smooth
  • Ensure Detailers issue Erection Drawing within 3 days of last fab release
  • Review all final shop drawings to assure all approval comments were incorporated prior to release top production

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years’ related experience as a BIM/Detailing Manager in the structural steel industry
  • Thorough  knowledge of fabrication, erection standards, and procedures, general  knowledge of AISC standards and AWS codes. Knowledge of Tekla software  is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of structural steel design codes and standards (e.g., AISC, AWS).
  • Understanding of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and erection methods.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on ensuring drawing accuracy and adherence to project requirements.

  • Lead project teams to deliver capital investment projects.

Our  client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the  maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will  possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of  industrial maintenance practices. This role is crucial for ensuring the  reliability and efficiency of our equipment and systems, while also  managing a team of skilled technicians.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of all equipment and systems.
  • Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Develop and implement maintenance management strategies, including preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Supervise,  schedule, and coordinate activities of production, and sanitation  workers on respective shift. Responsible for all phases of production  activities including efficient manufacturing of products, equipment  sanitation, and efficient chemical usage and reporting. As a Supervisor  working during swing shift hours, you will be expected to be on the  production floor between 80 to 85 percent of time worked.

  • Responsible  for full and efficient utilization of scheduled production workers to  include temporary employees for efficient and safe production of a  quality product that meets company specifications.
  • Responsible  for employee training, training verification, developing and maintaining  a safe and efficient team to accomplish assigned responsibilities to  include annual evaluation of employees under your direction.
  • Direct  supervision of production employees under your direction and or  respective shift. Enforcement of all safety and good housekeeping rules.
  • Adjust work schedules and manpower to meet production schedules and changes in production.
  • Initiate and follow through with disciplinary action by providing documentation of circumstances leading to discipline.
  • Responsible  for accurate daily reporting of all production activities and plant  operations, including processing, packaging, sanitation, maintenance,  etc.
  • Provide written reports of on the job injuries and accident investigations. Conduct monthly safety meetings.
  • Responsible for monitoring and enforcement of SQF, HACCP, GMP’s, and existing manufacturing practices and procedures.
  • Responsible  for maintaining all sanitation equipment in sanitary and good operating  condition at all times with the assistance of the Maintenance  Department. (CIP/COP systems, high pressure pump, central foamer and  sanitizing system, high pressure guns, etc.)
  • Perform during / post clean up and pre-operational inspections of equipment and documentation of inspections.
  • Ordering  sanitation chemicals as needed while tracking and calculating chemical  usage on a weekly basis to ensure correct chemical usage by employees  and systems.
  • Ordering and maintaining parts and supplies needed for production and personnel.
  • Perform  physical inventory at period end or as assigned to include monitoring  of inventory usage and storage of ingredients / materials.
  • Maintain  good a working relationship that will promote flexible, efficient and  economical operations with other supervisory personnel and between  departments.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with USDA while following USDA regulations and meeting expectations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE -

  • High  school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to four  years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of  education and experience.
  • Possess average equipment mechanical  aptitudes as well as equipment trouble shooting, and have the capacity  to initiate rudimentary corrective action.
  • Must understand and trace product lines on equipment utilizing drawing and computer HMI’s.
  • Must  read, understand, and react to critical processing data generated  through continuous computer controlled process monitoring systems.
  • Employee  will be required to obtain a high degree of knowledge in SQF, HACCP,  GMP’s, rigorously enforce strict sanitation and housekeeping standards  and maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
  • Must be able to move weights up to 450 lbs. (in drum form).
