Responsibilities:

  • Determine labor, equipment and material requirements to complete project and use information to prepare bid/estimate proposal.
  • Submit  complete bid/estimate proposals to project owners, managers and/or  general contractors in a timely and professional manner, provide any  clarification on information submitted as needed.
  • Review  proposal specifications, drawings, pre-bid meetings and visit project  sites to determine scope of work required in preparing bid/estimate  proposal.
  • Provide current and potential customers/client's prompt professional service including design, planning and pricing assistance.
  • Provide administrative management of awarded contracts.
  • Maintain  documentation of quantities and value of work estimated/completed to  support forecasting for future project performance.
  • Provide  ongoing support to Construction/Operations for efficient and profitable  execution of work including scheduling, including procurement and change  order/supplemental work processes.
  • Monitor subcontractor's work.
  • Partner  with Contract Administrator to review and process financial aspects of  contracts (i.e.: billings, sub-contract payments, material payments,  collections, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Estimating Manager,  Construction Manager and field leadership, establishment of project  objectives, procedures, schedules and performance requirements. May  provide indirect or direct supervision of field crew members/foreman or  superintendents.
  • Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Manage project (responsible for all projects bid unless reassigned).
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
  • Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
  • Self-motivated,  team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain  positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  • Visit jobsites and pre-bid meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s  degree in civil engineering, Engineering Management, Construction  Management or equivalent number of years' Heavy Civil (Underground  Utilities/Grading/Paving) experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction.
  • Survey experience using GPS equipment/software.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and AutoCAD.

Job Location - Long Beach, CA


The  Project Engineer will support marine construction projects, focusing on  daily field coordination with crews, tracking production, and ensuring  work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.  Project Engineer will help communicate between the field and the office,  providing support to superintendent and foremen, maintaining accurate  production records, and assisting with scheduling and material  coordination. The Project Engineer may also serve as the Site Safety and  Health Officer (SSHO) or Quality Control (QC) Manager on U.S. Army  Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects, in compliance with EM 385-1-1  requirements.

  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Support  enforcement of MSHA, OSHA, Corps of Engineers, and company safety  policies. Participate in and lead safety meetings with field crews.  Monitor field activities for compliance with quality standards. Prepare  and maintain corresponding documentation as required to maintain  compliance.
  • Field Coordination: Work onsite to assist  superintendent and foremen in planning and executing daily work  activities. Coordinate labor, equipment, and material needs for upcoming  work. Communicate with Project Manager and quarry operations for rock  deliveries and other material sourcing. Verify field conditions and  adjust work plans as needed for efficiency and safety.
  • Production  Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs of crew  activities, production quantities, and equipment usage. Track material  quantities and document quantities for payment. Monitor progress against  production goals and report variances to Project Manager.
  • Surveying:  Perform progress surveys to verify installation of work and assemble  cross sections and bathymetry maps to provide project progress  documentation for the Project Manager and client.
  • Scheduling  & Planning: Assist in preparing project schedules. Identify  potential delays and work with the team to resolve them.
  • Other  Duties: Provide technical support for layout, surveying, and  documentation as needed. Assist in preparing project documentation,  including as-builts and progress photos.
  • Projects may require  employees to work out-of-town. Accommodations will be provided, but  employee must be able to work out of town for extended periods of time.  Some projects may require staff to work weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum  5 years of combined experience in roles such as Field Engineer, Project  Engineer, Project Superintendent, Construction Manager, or Project  Manager on marine construction or heavy civil construction projects.
  • Must  possess a valid California Driver’s license and have an acceptable  driving record that meets company fleet policy requirements.
  • Must possess or be able to qualify to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Bluebeam.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working on USACE projects.
  • Familiarity  with EM 385-1-1 requirements for hazard identification, safety  compliance, accident prevention plans, and activity hazard analyses.
  • Completed EM 385-1-1 training appropriate for SSHO or QC Manager roles on USACE projects.

The  Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Sr. QAE) is a critical leadership  role responsible for owning and advancing the Quality Assurance function  in an industrial manufacturing environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting manufacturing operations in a quality or engineering role.

The Manufacturing Engineer II will support rubber molding and manufacturing efforts, tool and fixture design, provide process engineering support, identify process improvements, assist in root cause analysis efforts, and ensuring the establishment of, and supporting adherence to, relevant documentation. You will lead and contribute to projects designed to enhance current processes on the manufacturing floor as well as transitioning company goals from executive ideation into the scale-up of new processes, equipment and documentation.

Reporting  to the Sr. Manager, SIOP, the Manufacturing Procurement Manager is  responsible for leading all procurement and sourcing activities in  support of our clients’ manufacturing operations. This role owns both  the strategic and tactical execution of procurement, including  demand-driven purchasing, supplier management, cost reduction  initiatives, and ERP transaction execution. The Procurement Lead  partners closely with Planning, Production Control, Inventory,  Operations, and Accounting to ensure material availability, inventory  accuracy, financial integrity, and supplier performance. This position  plays a key role in translating SIOP forecasts and order backlog into  effective purchasing strategies while maintaining compliance with  ISO9001, customer flow-down requirements, and internal controls. This is  a hands-on leadership role responsible for both developing procurement  strategies and executing day-to-day purchasing activities, including  creation and management of purchase orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Procurement & Purchasing Execution

  • Create, release, and maintain purchase orders within the ERP system
  • Monitor and manage open purchase orders, deliveries, and past-due items
  • Expedite critical materials to prevent production disruptions
  • Coordinate with Receiving and Accounting to ensure accurate receipts, pricing, and invoice reconciliation
  • Support period close activities including accruals, commitments, and reconciliations

Planning & Forecast Alignment

  • Translate SIOP forecasts, production schedules, and order backlog into procurement plans
  • Develop and maintain supplier forecasts and stocking strategies
  • Ensure appropriate inventory levels through effective safety stock and replenishment planning
  • Partner with Planning and Production Control to proactively mitigate shortages and supply risks

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Lead sourcing strategy and supplier selection activities
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, stocking agreements, and payment terms
  • Establish and maintain long-term supplier relationships
  • Monitor supplier performance including cost, quality, and on-time delivery
  • Conduct supplier risk assessments and develop alternate/dual sourcing where appropriate
  • Drive cost reduction and working capital improvement initiatives

Compliance & System

  • Own and maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL)
  • Ensure supplier documentation including NDAs, certifications, and agreements are current
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 requirements and customer flow-down provisions

  • Maintain accurate ERP data including vendor records, pricing, and lead times

Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate with Inventory Control to support cycle counts and inventory accuracy

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead project teams to deliver capital investment projects.
  • Follow structured guidelines, company policies.

DUTIES / SKILLS - 

  • Transfer approved Fab drawings onto Tekla/System and run file to ensure no errors are present at time of submittal, reporting any issues to the Detail Manager.
  • Review and verify fab drawing BOM to Tekla reports for accuracy.
  • Document Control to include upload KSS files, print drawings, upload and distribute drawings, and maintain drawing logs for contract, fabrication and field drawings.
  • Assist with the management of all shop and field drawings sent for approval, returned from approval, for the design team’s review.
  • Assist with the management of shop drawings for fabrication for construction ensuring design drawing compliance.
  • Produce Load Lists per sequence.
  • Acquire and review Bolt List, ABM & Back Up Bar Listing.
  • Enter where material will be run into Tekla.
  • Create Material cut list for Beamline/Backsaw.
  • Create load lists in erection sequence to be issued to shop for loading and shipping purposes.
  • Verify/Create a Shop Order for all Back Up Bars and Run off Tabs per Bldg. to be shipped at the same time as bolts.
  • Create Shop Order for each release. Upon completion of shop order, issue to Operations Manager for release to Fab shop within 10-days of PM release of drawings.
  • Coordinate all shop and field revisions with Project & Production Manager.
  • Ensure Production Manager has all necessary documentation required for fabrication including P-sheets, nesting, main member part sheets, etc.
  • Create & issue shipping tag to Shipping Department and Field Personnel 2-days before shipping and create separate ship tag for FOB items.
  • Maintain daily communication with Project Manager, Project Engineer on progress of all areas of responsibilities.
  • Verify with Purchasing Agent all misc. materials, hardware, paint and touch-up paint has been ordered to ensure timely receipt.
  • Implement full use of Tekla System.
  • Balance Production Log to Tekla.
  • Update Completion Logs at end of day and email.

REQUIREMENTS -

  • Steel Fabrication Industry experienced required.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Outlook.
  • Experience with Tekla a plus, FabTrol or other Construction software.
  • Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
