EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

  • Will generate and manage estimates required for sales, pre-construction and bidding efforts.
  • Provide estimates, budget control and studies for projects and potential projects during business development, pre-construction and construction phases of a project and across all scopes, systems, and assemblies. Estimates vary from design build to full guarantee maximum price estimates to lump sum bids.
  • Ability to complete full quantity take-offs to support accurate estimates for all disciplines in commercial and public work projects including, but not limited to civil and site work, structural, concrete, finishes, mechanical, and electrical.
  • A complete understanding of the interrelationship of the cost of labor, material, equipment, and productivity in the unit costs used at each level of an estimate.
  • Collaborate with project manager to develop and maintain pre-construction and construction estimates.
  • Lead project lump sum bidding process.
  • Build estimates based on a practical understanding of design, constructability, logistics, sequencing and means and methods of a project.
  • Estimator will be a key collaborator for new and existing subcontractor relationships for estimating, bidding and project award.
  • Prepare estimate presentations, special studies, budget control reports and estimating documents for projects and client presentations.
  • Understanding of market labor and commodity conditions and impacts on construction costs.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs, variance and maintain quantity controls.

Our very well established and long time Food Processing client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Maintenance Manager with Food Processing industry experience for this IMMEDIATE DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY! The Maintenance Manager provides leadership and direction to plant maintenance function of a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation. This person carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws. May directly supervise employees or supervise through others.


  • Responsible for the overall performance of the plant’s Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the technicians and the department as a whole.
  • Develop and implement the plant’s R&M budget and monitor cost relative to equipment repairs. Assist the Plant Manager in development and implementation of the plant capital budget.
  • Schedule labor to meet plant and equipment requirements while assigning responsibilities and managing and supporting maintenance personnel as needed. Create a spirit of customer service to the entire facility.
  • Diagnose, develop and implement methods and procedures to ensure most effective utilization of resources and provide best service to the facility.
  • Actively participate with operations in plant initiatives. Ensure all mechanical, electrical, electronic and structural repair and improvements are performed to industry standards.
  • Ensure that all utilities (i.e. refrigeration, electrical, steam, compressed air systems, facilities, etc.) are in proper working order to support production. Troubleshoot machinery and process systems in the event of breakdowns.
  • Maintain a system for tracking work orders, preventative and predictive maintenance and parts and equipment inventory.
  • Advise the plant manager on mechanical/downtime issues and their impact on production output.
  • Coordinate with production/packaging supervision any downtime windows for preventative maintenance and repair work.
  • Track downtime to proactively prevent re-occurrence through root cause analysis involving the key players. Implements corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators as a means to create overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Actively participate in plant audits as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all internal customers and support teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, vendors, consultants, suppliers, support teams and plant personnel.
  • Coordinate activities relative to spare parts inventory and cost to ensure maximum equipment reliability and team productivity.
  • Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Remains current with latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
  • Ensures corporate policies and standards are followed in both capital project implementation as well as daily maintenance.
  • Shares “best practices” within the Maintenance Department.

Job Requirements

  • Prefer a four-year degree in a related field, and/or equivalent experience in maintenance in the food industry.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a supervisory/management role is preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate maintenance/production/packaging processes and determine the most efficient method of accomplishing goals.
  • Ability to identify, define, and solve problems; lead, influence and inspire people; evaluate and develop employees in order to better utilize the available workforce; and promote quality, safety, and teamwork.

The Maintenance Supervisor directly supervises maintenance employees on assigned shifts to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services and support production in a 24-hour 7-day per week operation. This includes planning, assigning and directing work, addressing product and employee complaints, and resolving problems. This person carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws.


  • Collaborates with the plant engineer, maintenance manager, and facility management to utilize equipment to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Supervises both the maintenance and capital projects for the site.
  • Utilizes mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings and grounds.
  • Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure that all utilities (i.e. refrigeration, electrical, steam, compressed air systems, etc.) are in proper working order to support production.

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is a plus and a minimum of five (5) years industrial maintenance experience within Food and/or Beverage industry is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLCs, electrical, cooling towers, ammonia compressors and packaging equipment. Skills required in electronics, instrumentation and electrical systems and troubleshooting, reading electrical schematics and understand ladder logic. Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations and formulas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Promote the plant’s safety programs to ensure workplace safety; audit and inspect the work areas to ensure that a safe work environment is maintained and all plant safety rules are followed.
  • Effectively monitor and maintain cost, quality and environment of the department.
  • Directly supervise the activities of the Packaging, Receiving and department employees.
  • Schedule and monitor personnel to ensure proper staffing.
  • Coach and discipline employees in a fair and consistent manner in accordance with company values, policies, procedures, work rules and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Ensure that production and packaging requirements are fulfilled according to schedule.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Manufacturing, Food Science or a related field, or equivalent experience a plus with a minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in a food production environment. Previous sanitation experience is preferred.

The Production Coordinator role provides analysis of the Production Execution transactions that occur on the shop floor and to close process orders in near real time.  Additionally, acts as liaison between operators and supervisors during shift to analyze opportunities for operational efficiency. 


Job Duties: 

  • Review open process orders by running various reports through SAP. 
  • Ensure the correct system goods issue (GI) and documentation of ingredients and raw materials 
  • Ensure correct system goods receipt (GR) and documentation of output materials 
  • Work with stakeholders to track-down and rectify entry errors. 
  • Ensure packaging and other non-batch managed materials are correctly backflushed through each process order. 
  • Conduct post-processing of faulty goods movements (backflush errors).  Communicate errors to logistics. 
  • Once all movements are confirmed, corrected and balanced, close appropriate process order. 
  • Create cycle counts of materials as directed. 
  • Assists with planning and scheduling daily operations of the plant to make the most efficient and effective use of personnel and equipment in producing the desires quality and quantity of products. 
  • Recommends changes to manufacturing procedures when necessary to maintain product specifications, minimize waste, improve efficiencies and reduce operating costs.  
  • Verifies that all products meet specifications and quality standards before shipment to the customer. 
  • Reviews equipment, process checklists and reports for accuracy and compliance with operating standards and takes action to correct any deficiencies.  
  • Maintains neat, orderly and clean plant facilities, work areas and equipment to conform with safety, quality and sanitary standards. 
  • Actively participates in company safety program by enforcing compliance with all safety rules and regulations and takes prompt corrective action concerning any potential safety hazard.

 Job Scope:
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for implementing and adhering to the Quality Control program at the manufacturing site. This includes conducting Quality Control checks during production, verifying adherence to the mycotoxin testing protocol, conducting mycotoxin testing, verifying sanitation activities, and other responsibilities as needed.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• As directed and trained, conduct various tests for incoming ingredients, including sieve, NIR, moisture, and mycotoxin testing.
• Routinely check operator paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Routinely check label, bags and seals.
• Perform and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Working overtime is MANDATORY and requires full participation.
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in accordance to company policy.
• Perform all functions in accordance with sound safety practices and procedures.
• Report all safety violations and safety hazards to Shift Supervisor/Safety Manager immediately
• Participate in all safety programs


Qualifications:
• Must be computer literate
• Must have ability to accept temporary assignment changes to assist other areas of the plant, maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds of product routinely, and climbing a ladder to maintenance equipment from a catwalk.
• Must maintain assigned portion of master sanitation schedule.
• Must work in a safe, professional manner at all times.
• Must report any accidents, property damage, or near misses to a supervisor immediately.
• Must have the ability to be trained and certified to operate forklifts.
 

Other Qualifications:
• HACCP, GFSI, or SQF certification is a plus.
• Must have excellent communication skills to communicate with other employees and supervisors.
• Flexibility to be available to help cover for other Quality Control employees when called upon.
• Ability to read bin level and work schedule.
 

Must have experience working in Quality Control in a food manufacturing plant as described above.
