JOB DESCRIPTION / SKILLS:

  • Estimator will generate and manage commercial estimates required for sales, pre-construction and bidding efforts.

Estimators are expected to:

  • Manage entirety of bidding process.

The Maintenance Manager provides leadership and direction to plant maintenance function of a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation. This person carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws. May directly supervise employees or supervise through others.


  • Responsible for the overall performance of the plant’s Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the technicians and the department as a whole.
  • Develop and implement the plant’s R&M budget and monitor cost relative to equipment repairs. Assist the Plant Manager in development and implementation of the plant capital budget.
  • Schedule labor to meet plant and equipment requirements while assigning responsibilities and managing and supporting maintenance personnel as needed. Create a spirit of customer service to the entire facility.
  • Diagnose, develop and implement methods and procedures to ensure most effective utilization of resources and provide best service to the facility.
  • Actively participate with operations in plant initiatives. Ensure all mechanical, electrical, electronic and structural repair and improvements are performed to industry standards.
  • Ensure that all utilities (i.e. refrigeration, electrical, steam, compressed air systems, facilities, etc.) are in proper working order to support production. Troubleshoot machinery and process systems in the event of breakdowns.
  • Maintain a system for tracking work orders, preventative and predictive maintenance and parts and equipment inventory.
  • Advise the plant manager on mechanical/downtime issues and their impact on production output.
  • Coordinate with production/packaging supervision any downtime windows for preventative maintenance and repair work.
  • Track downtime to proactively prevent re-occurrence through root cause analysis involving the key players. Implements corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators as a means to create overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Actively participate in plant audits as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all internal customers and support teams.

Job Requirements

  • Prefer a four-year degree in a related field, and/or equivalent experience in maintenance in the food industry.

The Microbiology Manager is responsible for developing test protocols and procedures focused on the growth, structure and development. The position oversees microbiology laboratories in 4 locations that verify process controls and product quality. Fermentation, storage and bottling are critical operations the microbiology team monitors. The Microbiology Manager must be capable of troubleshooting and conducting research and development for various departments.


Essential Duties:

  • Develop and implement food safety and process standards – FSMA, GFSI, HACCP, HARPC
  • Provide fermentation support during the harvest (starters, primary and secondary)

  • Provide sanitation support to bottling and cellar departments

  • Collaborates with the plant engineer, maintenance manager, and facility management to utilize equipment to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall equipment      effectiveness.
  • Supervises both the maintenance and capital projects for the site.
  • Utilizes mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings and grounds.

  • Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLCs, electrical, cooling towers, ammonia compressors and packaging equipment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor quality programs (i.e. HAACP, sanitation, sampling, positive release, quality specs, weight control, document control, QA standards manual, QA policy manual, microbiological and analytical information, etc.) for product compliance; conduct audits and inspections as required by our SQF quality system.
  • Review and maintain all quality control test results.  Evaluate analytical test results and disposition of finished product to assure customer specs are met.
  • Assist management with regulatory, customer and internal compliance audits as required.
  • Participate on the PSIR (Product Safety Incident Report) team and follow-up on customer complaints and returns as directed by the QA Supervisor.
  • Identify and address quality documentation concerns/errors or potential quality or food safety hazards by informing the QA Supervisor.  Monitor HOLD and Positive Release Programs within the plant.
  • Maintains electronic historical database with the ability to electronically trend problematic areas.
  • Process and maintain all incoming corporate specifications for raw materials, finished product, product descriptions and customer specifications.  Perform quality inspections on raw materials and packaging supplies as needed.
  • Generate customer Certificates of Analysis for requested products.
  • Coordinate with the Shipping Department upon completion of the Certificates of Analysis in order for the product in inventory to be released for shipment with the accompanying paperwork.
  • Coordinate all external pathogen lab samples for testing with lab technicians.
  • Assist with maintaining QA and Lab inventories.  
  • Assist the Regional QA Manager and QA Supervisor with implementing new quality programs that will improve the overall quality of the products produced within the plant.
  • Verify the receipt of vendor certificate of analysis.
  • Assist with the environmental swabbing program.
  • Assist with GMP training, HAACP/Bio-security training, SQF, lb training or orientation.
  • Comply with all food safety, quality programs and regulatory requirements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Job Summary

Our very well established and growing Food Processing client is  in search of an experienced Quality Control Technician for IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY. This is a Full-Time Temp to Hire need with the possibility of converting to the Company's Payroll!!
 

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday with mandatory Saturdays as needed
  • During Training will work Day Shift - 6:00am-2:30pm for approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
  • Most likely will then be 12 Hour Night Shift - 6:00pm-6:30am, after training.

Job Scope:
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for implementing and adhering to the Quality Control program at the manufacturing site. This includes conducting Quality Control checks during production, verifying adherence to the mycotoxin testing protocol, conducting mycotoxin testing, verifying sanitation activities, and other responsibilities as needed.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• As directed and trained, conduct various tests for incoming ingredients, including sieve, NIR, moisture, and mycotoxin testing.
• Routinely check operator paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Routinely check label, bags and seals.
• Perform and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Working overtime is MANDATORY and requires full participation.
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in accordance to company policy.
• Perform all functions in accordance with sound safety practices and procedures.
• Report all safety violations and safety hazards to Shift Supervisor/Safety Manager immediately
• Participate in all safety programs


Qualifications:
• Must be computer literate

• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds of product routinely, and climbing a ladder to maintenance equipment from a catwalk.

Operator shall provide supplies to the casing equipment. Organizes and maintains semi-finished and hold items area. Operator shall maintain their forklift, packaging equipment, Fiber and consumables storage area, pallet staging area clean and organized throughout the shift.

Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System.


JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Operator shall inspect their forklift before the start of their shift and fill out their daily forklift check sheet. Also, operator is expected to immediately report any malfunctions or damage to the equipment immediately to their supervisor.

2. Removes palletized product and delivers to either warehouse A, C or D. Ensures that pallet tags correspond to finished product and that counts are correct. Relieves co- workers as necessary.

3. Accurately tags each pallet with three tags and fills out production log forms and ensures that the pallets and forms correlate throughout the shift using the Wysis/Agility system.

4. Startup, setup, operate and monitor packaging equipment such as palletizer and wrapping equipment and conveying systems.

5. Performs daily safety and weekly sanitation checklists.

6. Responsible for supplying the box former machines with fiber. Removes trash to appropriate containers. Organize and maintain semi-finished and hold items. Keeps warehouse “B” clean and organized. Keeps partial racks organized and clean. Keeps outside empty pallet staging area clean and organized.
