PROJECT MANAGER

Our very well established and long time Fabrication / Construction client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Project Manager for this EXCELLENT FULL TIME CAREER OPPORTUNITY!


SALARY - $40 - 70K DOE

LOCATION - Modesto


The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the activities of a project to ensure cost, schedule, document control and quality standards are met. The Project Manager is expected to take on any/all tasks in the quest to learn all he/she can about construction/fabrication. 1-5 years of steel / construction experience would be preferred!


Skills / Experience / Responsibilities: 

  • Handle all phases and aspects of the project.
  • Estimating - Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.  
  • Manage administrative tasks for any projects and proposals. I.e. email communication, contract management, RFIs, PCOs.
  • Communicate with vendors and procurement of materials.
  • Follow the companies Best Practices.
  • Project Set Up: Ensure that proper information and materials are in place prior to the beginning of a project.
  • Draft, submit, and track all RFI’s
  • Review project logs (RFI’s, Submittals, PCO’s) with Superintendent on a weekly basis.
  • Review contract and specifications and become familiar with terms & conditions.
  • Print upcoming projects and coordinate getting installer bids. Begin take-offs of steel.
  • Ability to review drawings and specifications to become completely familiar with the project and identify long lead times and critical path items.
  • Maintain excellence and professionalism in all correspondence with customers and sub-contractors.
  • Prepare job packets, and learn basic CAD drawings.
  • Follow up with suppliers and soliciting bids to get best pricing for materials.
  • Ability to bid out projects.
  • Requires strong Customer Service.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Experienced with Word & Excel required.
  • Any CAD experience/knowledge helpful, but not required.
  • Steel experience preferred.
  • Project Management experience preferred but may train the right candidate with related / transferable skills.

Job/Role Description

This is a HANDS ON position handling Inside Sales with a specific territory as well as Supervising 4 Inside Sales Reps.Manages all aspects of Inside Sales Department and proactively develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers primarily by phone and email to increase sales on aftermarket parts and services.

Specific Duties:

  • Solicits for new business via telephone, networking, and other lead sources.
  • Close sales and achieve quotas.
  • Assist in the forecasting process.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow‐up and outbound cold‐calls and emails.
  • This position will also maintain strong working business relationships with customers and will work closely with the Outside Sales Team.
  • Develop and manage executive customer relationships and work within multiple levels of the organization to articulate and convey the business value of the products and services.
  • Research existing and new accounts, identify key players and generate interest in the company's products.
  • Maintain and expand database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executive for further development and closure.
  • Performs order entry and order processing functions in M2M software.
  • Assist with outside sales and set up onsite sales calls.


General Duties:

  • Execute role within established processes.
  • Provides additional territory coverage when needed.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all products and  services.
  • Operates with highly integrity, maintaining positive relations with co‐workers and customers.
  • Performs a variety of general office duties including typing, data entry, duplicating materials, filing, telephone answering, and other tasks as required.


Qualifications

  • At least two to three years phone/sales experience.
  • At least one to two years of Supervisory experience.
  • Must possess desire to make phone calls to prospects and customers
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills.
  • Experience in capital equipment and aftermarket parts sales is a plus.
  • Ability to convey value and benefits to clients.
  • Able to build rapport with clients.
  • Excellent phone and communication skills.
  • Computer literate: spreadsheets, database, flowcharting, and word processing is required.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment such as calculator, fax, copier, etc. is preferred.
  • BILINGUAL SPANISH - Read, Write and Speak - IS A PLUS (but not a MUST)!!

SALARY - $52,000. to $58,000. Per Year (POSSIBLY higher DOE)

This position Works Along-Side and Supervises Assigned Staff  who receives, stores, delivers and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishment by performing the following duties:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

  • Tracks assigned employee's attendance.
  • Supervises work load, productivity and quality of assigned employees. 
  • Requests and supervises overtime scheduling.
  • Ensures adherence with all company and D.O.T. guidelines.      
  • Oversees drivers’ hours of service, log books and D.O.T. Compliance.
  • Tracks, schedules and maintains service and records on equipment and truck repairs. 
  • Runs daily pull sheets and route logs.
  • Ensures adherence to company safety policies. Maintains a clean warehouse and vehicles.
  • Ensures stock is rotated, cleaned, stored and put away in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Point of contact for other managers, sales people and employees.
  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production area to storage area or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Marks materials with identifying information. 
  • Opens bales, crates and other containers.
  • Records amounts of material or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure Compliance to company standards.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment. 
  • Prepares parcels for mailing.
  • Maintains inventory records. 
  • Load trucks
  • Record time and productivity on pull sheets.
  • Maintain adequate productivity on volume of products pulled.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has supervisory duties for approximately 15-18 staff members as assigned by department or shift.
