SHIPPING / RECEIVING MANAGER

Our long-time Client with an excellent reputation in their industry is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Shipping/Receiving Manager for this IMMEDIATE and Excellent Direct Hire Opportunity!

Experience with handling Structural Steel using a 36k forklift is a MUST!!!

Salary - $79k to $80k per year

Job Location - Stanislaus County (Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, Patterson, Riverbank, Oakdale)

Hours - Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:45 pm

Responsibilities:

Ensure crew members are lined out for the day
Ensure procedures in yard are maintained
Ensure material coming out of the Paint Department is organized
Review load lists, ensure they are in erection sequence before issued to shop
Ensure loading is per Load List, timely, and efficient
Monitor loads are being built on the ground correctly
Check schedule to ensure timeliness of loads
Confirm loads are to be completed 24 hrs. before ship date
Material should be facing up
Confirm shipping tag has been issued to Shipping Department and Field Personnel 2-days before shipping
Confirm with Project Coordinator has created a separate ship tag for FOB items
Receive (check-in only) structural steel and other material from trailers.
Designated forklift operator will offload material
Ensure the PO (receiving list) matches material being offloaded
Be sure to sign and date delivery tags before turning into the office
Operate 36k forklift in a safe manner
Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

Structural Steel knowledge is a MUST!
5 yrs. experience operating heavy-duty forklift
5 yrs. Structural Steel handling
5 yrs. Management experience
Must be dependable and able to delegate responsibility
Must possess leadership and communication skills
Must be able and willing to be trained in different production areas
