SALARY - $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 / YR

LOCATION - Located within Stanislaus County (Modesto, Turlock, Oakdale, Riverbank, Hughson or surrounding cities)

The Human Resources Manager maintains the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Audit and update human resourced records, employee handbook, checklists and procedures that may not be compliant to current regulations.
  • Audit current systems being utilized for time-keeping, payroll and make recommendations on how to maximize on these systems while still maintaining efficiency.
  • Maintains organization’s staff by establishing a recruiting, testing and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
  • Prepares outline for HR Assistants/Safety to coach employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; working with adjuster on compensation claims, maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
  • Maintains employee benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit policy renewal; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs. Coordinating with health insurance broker regarding hires and termination.
  • Maintain inter- and intra-departmental work flow by providing information to and cooperating with co-workers.
  • Oversee the organizational development and training function and develop employee training programs.
  • Work with senior management to craft consistent, equitable and competitive compensation and incentives.

Our long-time Food Processing Client with an excellent reputation in their industry is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Occupational Health & Safety Manager for this EXCELLENT & IMMEDIATE DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY.


Salary - $90,000. to $110,000. Per Year + Growth & 20% Bonus Potential!!

Job Location - Stanislaus County (Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, Patterson, Riverbank, Oakdale)

Hours – Monday – Friday, plus availability to be on call for Safety issues as needed.


This position is responsible for the inspection, evaluation and implementation of company health, safety, sustainability, regulatory compliance and risk management programs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compliance to environmental, health, and safety regulations. Implement and maintain environmental/health & safety management systems.
  • Prepare & submit regulatory reports to local, state, federal & corporate entities as required (including OSHA requirements).
  • Monitor legislative changes and recommendations based on their potential impact to the business.
  • Coordinate all COVID-19 related activities including, but not limited to, training, auditing program effectiveness, maintaining up-to-date crisis management plans manage entry programs, and being a subject matter expert for COVID and other safety related questions.
  • Maintain metrics in accordance with Leadership requirements.
  • Maintaining up-to-date Injury Illness Prevention Program including JSA’s, SOP’s for all EAP, PSM & safety programs, safe work practices and equipment.
  • Responsible for partnering cross-functionally and coordinating annual safety and regulatory required training. Provides ongoing personnel safety training as required by OSHA. Certified trainer for all mobile equipment training including confined spaces, chemical safety, heat illness, etc.
  • Support budget planning process with information on environmental fees & permits, safety incentive program and managing PPE inventory to ensure supplies are readily available.
  • Support sustainability and environmental stewardship efforts throughout company.
  • Performs safety evaluations, runs site safety committee and ergonomics programs. Chair or co-chair and lead the Safety and Environmental subcommittees.
  • Maintain working relationships with Regulatory Agencies, such as, Department of Homeland Security, City of Turlock and OSHA to include participation in industry specified organization.
  • Represents company, as required, on specific projects and during regulatory & agency audits, including documentation preparation.
  • Complete accident and incident investigations and interviews throughout company, as required.


Qualification Requirements and Preferences:

  • Two to three years prior experience working in a EHS role required.
  • Four year Technical Degree with Professional EHS certification a plus.
  • DHS - Chemical Facility; PSM – Ammonia; CERs familiarity strongly desired.
  • Proven leadership skills in a food manufacturing environment.

Hours: Day Shift


The Safety Specialist is responsible to develop and administer industrial company safety programs, LMS (Learning Management System), hazard identification and correction, incident/injury investigations, and compliance with workplace safety in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations on occupational health and safety.


Essential Duties:

  • Understand and comply with all ISO9001, HACCP and GMP requirements and processes
  • Schedule medical evaluations as required
  • Maintain electronic files for all Safety documentation
  • Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation
  • Administration of LMS and other company safety programs
  • Administration of monthly safety tailgates and safety-related training
  • Organize and facilitate monthly safety committee meetings
