HR GENERALIST

Our well-established and growing Manufacturing client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced HR Generalist for this EXCELLENT IMMEDIATE DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY.


SALARY: $70 to $90k per year, depending on experience, plus Bonus potential.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure comprehensive understanding of and adherence to all HR policies and procedures as well as employment law.
  • Interpreting,  assisting and advising employees and managers regarding; leave  management, benefit administration, and HR procedures and policies  within the specified guidelines.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping Human Resource information confidential.
  • Assist  HRBP on tasks related to exempt level and hourly recruitment process  and employment strategies to meet human resources requirements.
  • Leads the annual performance review process for hourly employees.
  • Partners with department managers on the annual merit process for all hourly employees.
  • Leads the administrative compliance training for all employees as it relates to EHS, Food Safety and HR compliance.
  • Prepares for and participates in local career fairs and hiring events.
  • Facilitates training to plant leaders as needed
  • In partnership with HRBP organizes community events.
  • Supports the plant leadership teams with plant retention strategy, labor market analysis, and EHS activities.
  • Supports HRBP with all labor or employee relations meetings or investigations as needed.
  • Resolves basic to complex problems by leveraging business / HR knowledge and client relationships.
  • Work with and network with HR colleagues across all locations to ensure sharing of best practices.
  • In partnership with Plant leaders, leads and organizes all employee engagement events.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned by the HRBP.
  • Maintain and tracks HR data and metrics.
  • Support customer ethical audits.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or Manager required.
  • Previous manufacturing HR experience
  • Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS applications.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Our long-time Client with an excellent reputation in their industry is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Safety Coordinator for this IMMEDIATE and Excellent Direct Hire Opportunity! 


Salary - $75k to $80k per year DOE

MUST HAVE STEEL FABRICATION INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Job Location - Stanislaus County (Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, Patterson, Riverbank, Oakdale)

Hours - Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:40 pm (45 minute lunch break)


Our  client is looking for an experienced Safety Coordinator who can oversee  the health and safety processes for their organization.

Job Duties:

  • Plan,  organize, coordinate, and monitor safety program through inspections  and observance to ensure compliance with federal and state OSHA  occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations, and company  policies and procedures.
  • Oversee safety training, take the lead in presenting training sessions to company personnel.
  • Prepare pre-task analyses and risk assessments.
  • Address corrective action directly with Foremen, Superintendent, or employees if a safety concern is observed.
  • Investigate  incidents to ascertain root causes; recommend preventative measures,  corrective action, or develop safety program revisions to prevent  recurrence.
  • Maintain a safety inspection and auditing program utilizing iAuditor
  • Attend emergency medical facility visits with injured workers.
  • Conduct substance testing if necessary.
  • Provide  ongoing communication to management about the safety program  performance through Daily Log. Advise of opportunities for improvement.
  • Set the right example; take the lead in safety in daily work; be proactive.

Required Core Competencies:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Safety Coordinator in the steel fabrication industry.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to teach others.
  • Ability  to collaborate with others, exhibit teamwork, conflict resolution,  critical thinking, effective negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Working  knowledge of tools, machines, and equipment used in steel fabrication  processes, along with rigging and other industrial work tasks.
  • Thorough knowledge Cal-OSHA industrial safety standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to use computer applications for communication and organization.
  • Result driven and goal oriented.

Our  client is looking to hire a Safety Specialist, to maintain safety  programs that reduce workplace risks, ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA,  and DOT regulations, and promote a strong safety culture.

You  will assist with hazard identification, safety training, compliance  monitoring, and incident prevention to minimize occupational injuries,  illnesses, and financial losses.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead  by example in promoting a safety-first culture, actively driving and  supporting corporate and local safety initiatives while ensuring all HR  programs align with safety objectives.

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining  accident-prevention and loss-control programs, ensuring alignment with  company safety goals.
  • Serve as a resource to employees and managers, offering guidance on safety procedures, best practices, and regulatory updates.
  • Maintain  relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and  safety organizations to stay informed on safety regulations and industry  best practices.
  • Help develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring employees are trained and ready for crisis situations.
  • Represent  the company in safety-related industry meetings, committees, and  regulatory discussions to enhance safety leadership and compliance  awareness.
  • Be available for travel on short notice to support operations across locations, assisting with safety initiatives as needed.
  • Take on special projects and leadership initiatives that enhance the company’s people strategy and organizational effectiveness.
  • Helping  with maintaining claim files, organizing training records, tracking  corrective actions, ensuring all documentation is up to date and  properly filed etc.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s  degree in occupational health & safety, Construction Safety,  Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum  two years of proven experience in safety program management within  construction, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, cement, or a related heavy  industry or extensive industry experience with a strong safety focus  and record.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, with experience ensuring compliance in industrial or construction environments.
  • Experience  working with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Behavior-Based Safety  (BBS) programs, including conducting risk assessments, safety training,  and incident investigations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office  Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint); ability to effectively  communicate, coach, and influence safety culture at all levels of the  organization.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving  record, and willingness to travel to company locations, including  potential overnight stays.
  • Bilingual Spanish A PLUS.
