MANAGER OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Our long time well-established and growing Construction client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Manager of Human Resources for this IMMEDIATE FULL TIME DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY!


SALARY - $80k to $85k per year (maybe higher depending on experience level)

Benefits - Excellent Benefits include Medical, Dental, Sick Pay, Vacation, (9) Paid Holidays, and Simple IRA (company match up to 3%)

LOCATION - Stanislaus County (Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, Oakdale, Riverbank)

HOURS - Monday - Friday - 7:00 am to 3:45 pm


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruiting and hiring process for all levels of staff, from hourly workers to salaried employees.
  • Knowledge  of Wage and Hour compliance to include maintaining accurate timekeeping  and ensure wage and hour compliance under California Law.
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflicts, while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Safety and Compliance with OSHA
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensure accurate payroll data, and manage local benefit administration.
  • Ensure  compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and government  regulations. This includes leading health, safety, and welfare  initiatives and managing workers' compensation claims.
  • Oversee  performance review systems, manage talent development programs, and set  performance standards aligned with business goals.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, handle HR documentation, and prepare reports for management.
  • Proven HR management experience
  • Strong knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • People-oriented and results-driven with strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with HR systems and databases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Admin a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR experience; experience in manufacturing, construction, or fabrication strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting hourly, skilled-trade, and shift-based workforces.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build trust at all levels.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification, a plus.
  • Experience with workers' compensation claim management and return-to-work programs preferred.
  • Background in Safety/EHS collaboration or certification a plus.

Our very well-established Construction client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Safety Specialist for this IMMEDIATE AND EXCELLENT DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY!! 


Pay - $70k to $80k per year DOE

Job Location – San Joaquin County (cities to include; Ripon, Stockton, Tracy, etc.)

Hours - 40 hours per week


Our  client is looking to hire a Safety Specialist, to maintain safety  programs that reduce workplace risks, ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA,  and DOT regulations, and promote a strong safety culture.

You  will assist with hazard identification, safety training, compliance  monitoring, and incident prevention to minimize occupational injuries,  illnesses, and financial losses.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead  by example in promoting a safety-first culture, actively driving and  supporting corporate and local safety initiatives while ensuring all HR  programs align with safety objectives.
  • Champion Core Values  (People, Safety, Quality, Environment, Aloha, Trust, Adaptability, and  Excellence), fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes employee  engagement, well-being, and performance.
  • Help ensure adherence  to MSHA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable regulations, coordinating  with site teams to maintain compliance and address safety concerns.
  • Support  the identification and assessment of workplace hazards, recommending  corrective actions to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety.
  • Help develop and deliver safety training programs, ensuring employees are aware of policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist in safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments, working with teams to implement necessary improvements.
  • Support  incident investigations, root cause analyses (e.g., ICAM methodology),  and reporting, helping to implement corrective actions and prevent  reoccurrence.
  • Assist with compiling, analyzing, and interpreting  safety metrics and trends, preparing reports that support continuous  improvement and compliance efforts. Assist with identifying KPIs that  support the safety program’s performance.
  • Work with Risk  Management and HR to monitor and support workers' compensation and  liability claims, helping to analyze loss trends and develop prevention  strategies.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining  accident-prevention and loss-control programs, ensuring alignment with  company safety goals.
  • Serve as a resource to employees and managers, offering guidance on safety procedures, best practices, and regulatory updates.
  • Maintain  relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and  safety organizations to stay informed on safety regulations and industry  best practices.
  • Help develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring employees are trained and ready for crisis situations.
  • Represent  the company in safety-related industry meetings, committees, and  regulatory discussions to enhance safety leadership and compliance  awareness.
  • Be available for travel on short notice to support operations across locations, assisting with safety initiatives as needed.
  • Take on special projects and leadership initiatives that enhance the company’s people strategy and organizational effectiveness.
  • Helping  with maintaining claim files, organizing training records, tracking  corrective actions, ensuring all documentation is up to date and  properly filed etc.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s  degree in occupational health & safety, Construction Safety,  Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum  two years of proven experience in safety program management within  construction, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, cement, or a related heavy  industry or extensive industry experience with a strong safety focus  and record.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, with experience ensuring compliance in industrial or construction environments.
  • Experience  working with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Behavior-Based Safety  (BBS) programs, including conducting risk assessments, safety training,  and incident investigations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office  Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint); ability to effectively  communicate, coach, and influence safety culture at all levels of the  organization.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving  record, and willingness to travel to company locations, including  potential overnight stays.
  • Bilingual Spanish A PLUS.

SALARY: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour DOE

Job Description:
