Essential Job Functions:

  • Daily management of all HR related issues at the production location.
  • Ensure  comprehensive understanding of and adherence to all HR policies and  procedures as well as external influences such as employment  State/Provincial legislation and political inference.
  • Provides a  progressive, best practice service to all Managers at the production  location covering areas such as, but not limited to recruitment and  selection, employee onboarding, performance management, training and  development, organizational change, communication programs, industrial  relations and workforce planning.
  • Develops and implements  consistent framework of employment standards which ensure  competitiveness in the communities in which we operate.
  • Establishment of departmental performance standards and objectives ensuring the monitoring and delivery of these.
  • Source  and develop external partnerships with vendors such as recruitment  agencies and maximize the quality of service and return on investment.
  • Establishment of departmental performance standards and objectives ensuring that these support the overall business plan.
  • Work with and networks with HR colleagues across all locations to ensure sharing of best practices.
  • Work  with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective hiring and  onboarding of hourly and salaried employees at their location.
  • Manage  the plants payroll functions and ensure timely and complete delivery of  all necessary payroll related files to the central payroll team.
  • Delivers direction to the Human Resources admin and ensures HR administrative tasks get executed in a timely and complete manor.
  • Trains supervisors and managers on the Manager Self Service features in our Payroll and Time & Attendance system.
  • Act  as a first point of contact for all benefits related questions at the  location, actively supports employees during open enrollment and ensures  all benefits related information is being entered into the system in a  timely and complete manner.
  • Encourage a safe working environment  by actively participating in safety related activities and by  facilitating and or participating in safety committee meetings at the  location.
  • Ensures a timely and complete delivery of Human  Resources data and metrics for either standardized reports or ad hoc  information requests.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and HRIS.
  • Strong  organization and communication skills, ability to multi-task while  paying attention to detail and working in a high volume, fast paced  environment.

Education and Experience:

  • HR experience in a union environment strongly preferred. Previous manufacturing HR experience preferred.
  • Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience conducting first-line and management training.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS applications.

SALARY: $85k - $90k per year DOE with bonus potential

LOCATION: This position is located within Stanislaus County (includes cities - Modesto, Turlock, Ceres)

HOURS: Monday through Friday, day shift_ (must be available to train during all shifts)_


The  EHS Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to  the operations team, ensuring effective leadership and management of the  safety program. This role involves driving a consistent approach across  all EHS activities, advancing the EHS management systems, and ensuring  compliance with regulatory standards. The EHS Specialist will  collaborate with the EHS Leadership Team to maintain consistency across  all sites.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Adhere to and enforce all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and PPE requirements.
  • Responsible  for adhering to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s)  provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF).
  • Assist  the Regional EHS Manager with the development of company management  systems. Due to the nature of the role some cross site EHS interaction  may be required.
  • Collaborate with the production team on yield and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Provide technical EHS compliance advice and guidance to managers.
  • Ensure effective implementation of EHS standards across the site.
  • Coordinate EHS and Environmental Permit activities including:
  • Review environmental aspects and assist with development of control measures.
  • Control and record EHS & Permit documentation.
  • Audit schedules, conduct internal and third-party audits and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Environmental performance reporting for Environmental Permits.
  • Conduct JSA reviews in conjunction with Departments.
  • Provide support, assistance and guidance to Departments on:
  • Risk assessments, audits, and inspections.
  • Development of EHS procedures.
  • Incident investigations.
  • Manage EHS training, audits, non-conformances, and PPE protocol. Compliance reporting (Tier II, OSHA, etc.).
  • Manage Waste including “zero to landfill” ensuring that optimal revenue is obtained for all waste created:
  • Maintenance of Waste Stream Matrix. Duty of Care records and audits.
  • Liaise with waste management contractors.
  • Equipment servicing and issues.
  • Maintain EHS KPI’s including:
  • Incident statistics
  • Company incident management and reporting software for assigned locations
  • Environmental Permit Annual Returns
  • Environmental KPI’s

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an EHS Specialist in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Effective  understanding of Manufacturing technology and process and the EHS risks  associated with high-speed beverage manufacturing.
  • Solid knowledge of EHS systems.
  • Ability and commitment to drive change in a team setting.
  • Understanding and awareness of ISO14001 and ISO 45001 standards and the competence to coordinate effectively.
  • Ability to provide education and training resource for all operators in key EHS tasks.
  • Ability  to understand the principles and processes of effective  communication/presentation and when/how to apply them in all aspects of  the role.
  • Understands the principles and processes of effective  communication and how to apply them, also to understand how to give  feedback in a way which enhances confidence and commitment.
  • Understand the principles of HS and EHS auditing and how to conduct an incident investigation.
  • Understand  how to collect and validate sufficient information on the effectiveness  of EHS systems to make recommendations for improvement.
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety as a minimum

HOURS: Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm

Job Description:

  • Provide administrative support to the risk management team as needed. This may include scheduling meetings, managing calendars, processing expense reports, and other related tasks.
  • Identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor risks throughout the company.
  • Provide risk management and insurance expertise to the company.
  • Manage company’s insurance policies (including processing endorsements, completing applications, interpreting policies, and processing claims).
  • Coordinate the company's vehicle program, including fleet management, maintenance scheduling, and accident reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Company Vehicle Policy and that all vehicles are properly insured and maintained according to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Manage and track all Certificates of Liability Insurance for vendors, subcontractors, and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and maintain a comprehensive database of all active certificates.
  • Lead the asset management program, including creating and maintaining an inventory of all company assets. This involves conducting field work, which includes record keeping and inventory of assets at various company locations.
  • Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to management and regulatory bodies. Analyze risk data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement. A general understanding of finance is preferred to help with this analysis.
  • Identify and lead projects aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of risk management processes.

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years professional level experience in risk management, compliance, or similar administrative role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office, SAP, Vehicle Mgmt.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

Pay - $70k to $80k per year DOE

Our  client is looking to hire a Safety Specialist, to maintain safety  programs that reduce workplace risks, ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA,  and DOT regulations, and promote a strong safety culture.

You  will assist with hazard identification, safety training, compliance  monitoring, and incident prevention to minimize occupational injuries,  illnesses, and financial losses.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead  by example in promoting a safety-first culture, actively driving and  supporting corporate and local safety initiatives while ensuring all HR  programs align with safety objectives.

  • Work with Risk  Management and HR to monitor and support workers' compensation and  liability claims, helping to analyze loss trends and develop prevention  strategies.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining  accident-prevention and loss-control programs, ensuring alignment with  company safety goals.
  • Serve as a resource to employees and managers, offering guidance on safety procedures, best practices, and regulatory updates.
  • Maintain  relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and  safety organizations to stay informed on safety regulations and industry  best practices.
  • Help develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring employees are trained and ready for crisis situations.
  • Represent  the company in safety-related industry meetings, committees, and  regulatory discussions to enhance safety leadership and compliance  awareness.
  • Be available for travel on short notice to support operations across locations, assisting with safety initiatives as needed.
  • Take on special projects and leadership initiatives that enhance the company’s people strategy and organizational effectiveness.
  • Helping  with maintaining claim files, organizing training records, tracking  corrective actions, ensuring all documentation is up to date and  properly filed etc.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s  degree in occupational health & safety, Construction Safety,  Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum  two years of proven experience in safety program management within  construction, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, cement, or a related heavy  industry or extensive industry experience with a strong safety focus  and record.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, with experience ensuring compliance in industrial or construction environments.
  • Experience  working with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Behavior-Based Safety  (BBS) programs, including conducting risk assessments, safety training,  and incident investigations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office  Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint); ability to effectively  communicate, coach, and influence safety culture at all levels of the  organization.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving  record, and willingness to travel to company locations, including  potential overnight stays.
  • Bilingual Spanish A PLUS.
