PAYROLL / HR COORDINATOR

 SALARY - $20.00 - 23.00/hr

BENEFITS - Excellent Benefits

LOCATION - Located within Stanislaus County (Modesto, Turlock, Ceres, or the Surrounding Cities) 

HOURS - Monday thru Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm


Our very well-established and growing Food Processing client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Payroll / HR Coordinator for this IMMEDIATE FULL TIME CAREER OPPORTUNITY!


This position is responsible for the weekly and monthly payroll processing, managing timekeeping system information and HRIS record keeping. Provide reports from HR systems for tracking and analysis. Provides day-to-day employee relations and administrative support. Performs other HR generalist functions involving planning, project support, and process development.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processes all data for payroll, loading cycles, pre-calculation pay run and final calculations of payroll on a weekly basis. Resolves employee payroll problems.
  • Oversees information accuracy in timekeeping system.
  • Generates/distributes reports as needed (i.e. time off, overtime) from HR systems and distributes employee information.
  • Electronic input/maintenance of employee data in HRIS, producing reports as needed. Tracks HR documentation.
  • Responds to external requests for employment information, garnishments, and other payroll data.
  • Drafts, tracks and coordinates employee attendance improvement notices (EIN’s).
  • Hold on-boarding, seasonal re-hire/layoff, and other related activities.
  • Assists with new hire orientation.
  • Assists in planning and coordinating group employee events and administers awards programs.
  • Provides Org chart updates to Help Desk and makes changes in the system.
  • Assist in the preparation of Quarterly Meetings.
  • Distributes weekly paychecks.
  • Training and assistance to shift, supervisor’s and manager’s on time and attendance system.
  • Coordinate all Quarterly Surveys and track results. Generate results in a chart.
  • Holds 30-day benefits meeting and enrolls employees on the various benefits.
  • Assists employees with any inquiries related to HR, payroll, benefits, policies or confidential matters, referring to supervisor as appropriate. 

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field OR equivalent coursework/experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in HR, including payroll experience.
  • PHR a plus.
  • Requires excellent analytical, organizational and multi-tasking skills, as well as the ability to interact and collaborate successfully with all levels and functional areas.
  • Must have strong proficiency with all aspects of Microsoft Office Programs.
