MAINTENANCE MANAGER

The  Maintenance Manager is responsible for the care and maintenance of all  property and production assets in a safe, sanitary and efficient  condition. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for staying up to date  on new products, equipment, technology and techniques and performs  maintenance activities on all process equipment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works in an extremely safe manner and protects not only him/her self but also other people and equipment in the facility.
  • Ensures that Food Safety Measures are adhered to in all operations.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Read sketches, prints, operating instructions and proceed accordingly.
  • Check materials and parts and make requests for same.
  • Lay out work from sketches, drawings, etc.
  • Fabricate and assemble parts to construct machinery and equipment.
  • Locate, align and anchor machinery.
  • Is able to repair, adjust, trouble-shoot, and time food processing equipment.
  • Is able to repair, adjust, trouble-shoot weigh scales, metal detectors, and case printers.
  • Demonstrated welding skills with all metals, especially stainless steel.
  • Ability to use Root Cause Analysis to identify mechanical issues.
  • Make necessary repairs of fluid power systems.
  • Understand basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Understand food processing equipment computer control systems PLC’s.
  • Provides appropriate hand tools and meters as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years Food Manufacturing experience.
  • Bilingual a plus

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN - Ammonia Refrigeration

MUST have experience with both Ammonia and Freon Based systems.


Salary - $40.00 to $60.00 Per Hour / DOE - Central Valley

               $40.00 to $60.00  Per Hour / DOE - Bay Area

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, diverse in troubleshooting and repairing of numerous issues with large and small refrigeration systems components and controls.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
  • Minimum of 5 years field experience operating, maintaining, servicing, and commissioning INDUSTRIAL ammonia, and Freon systems.
  • Requires strong mechanical knowledge of various components used in cold storage, food processing refrigeration systems,


Work Conditions Requirement:
Applicants must have a good driving record and be willing to travel within the Central Valley to maintain, repair, and start up various Industrial equipment and systems. Some overtime hours and on call duty is required, as company offers 24 hour service to their customers.
 

Skills Required:

  • Experience repairing and maintaining reciprocating and screw compressors
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems and test components, using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment
  • Troubleshoot pump recirculating systems and liquid transfer systems
  • Perform hot and cold compressor and motor alignments
  • Ability to replace all types of shaft seals
  • Install expansion and control valves, using acetylene torches and wrenches
  • Install wiring to connect components to an electric power source
  • Test lines, components, and connections for leaks
  • Rebuild a reciprocating compressor
  • Commissioning/start-up of ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems and components
  • Troubleshoot computerized refrigeration control panels and microprocessors
  • Experience with many types of refrigerants such as ammonia, and various types of Freon
  • Universal EPA Certification is required
  • RETA CIRO Certification (a plus)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently perform welding, grinding, and metal cutting tasks as assigned. 
  • Safely and efficiently operate fork lifts and other mobile equipment; possess ability to obtain operator certification. 
  • Safely and efficiently perform mechanical repairs to correct production line breakdowns. 
  • Safely and efficiently complete required tasks on repair, PM and OH work orders. 
  • Safely and efficiently perform electrical repairs, and installation of electrical equipment. 
  • Understand refrigeration or possess the ability to learn operation of plant refrigeration equipment. 
  • Attend and understand technical training, safety and food safety meetings as scheduled.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; E.G. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 5 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.


PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Ammonia Refrigeration Certification through a recognized ANSI program, such as RETA, CARO Certification preferred.
  • Hands-on skills in PLC programming and refrigeration preferred.

The Master Controls  Technician is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and  troubleshooting the controls systems, specifically Programmable Logic  Controls (PLCs), that keep our operations running smoothly.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of PLCs and other control systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for PLCs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Configure, program, and integrate new PLCs and related control components.
  • Design and implement control strategies using PLC programming languages such as ladder logic and RSLogix.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve control system issues.
  • Install and commission HMI interfaces and establish communication protocols for PLCs.

  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and update documentation as needed.

Requirements

  • Advanced programming skills in PLC languages such as ladder logic and RSLogix.
  • Proficiency in configuring, programming, and integrating PLCs with industrial networks.
  • Strong understanding of HMI systems, communication protocols, and electrical schematics interpretation.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot control system issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience in designing and implementing control strategies for optimized system performance.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an industrial or production environment.
  • Good analytical skills, ability to troubleshoot & make on-the-spot corrections to emergency conditions.
  • Light Industrial Electric required, Hydraulics, Power Transmissions, and Pneumatic
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Must be flexible to work varying shifts if needed, OT and weekends as needed.
  • This position may require lifting up to 55 lbs.
  • The position may require working at high elevations and in confined spaces.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Electrical: 2 year (Preferred)
