FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN - Ammonia Refrigeration

Our very well established national customer based locally is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Field Service Technician for the Central Valley for this EXCELLENT & IMMEDIATE DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY. MUST have experience with both Ammonia and Freon Based systems.


Salary - $40.00 to $60.00 Per Hour / DOE - Central Valley

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, diverse in troubleshooting and repairing of numerous issues with large and small refrigeration systems components and controls.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
  • Minimum of 5 years field experience operating, maintaining, servicing, and commissioning INDUSTRIAL ammonia, and Freon systems.
  • Requires strong mechanical knowledge of various components used in cold storage, food processing refrigeration systems,


Work Conditions Requirement:
Applicants must have a good driving record and be willing to travel within the Central Valley to maintain, repair, and start up various Industrial equipment and systems. Some overtime hours and on call duty is required, as company offers 24 hour service to their customers.
 

Skills Required:

  • Experience repairing and maintaining reciprocating and screw compressors
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems and test components, using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment
  • Troubleshoot pump recirculating systems and liquid transfer systems
  • Perform hot and cold compressor and motor alignments
  • Ability to replace all types of shaft seals
  • Install expansion and control valves, using acetylene torches and wrenches
  • Install wiring to connect components to an electric power source
  • Test lines, components, and connections for leaks
  • Rebuild a reciprocating compressor
  • Commissioning/start-up of ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems and components
  • Troubleshoot computerized refrigeration control panels and microprocessors
  • Experience with many types of refrigerants such as ammonia, and various types of Freon
  • Universal EPA Certification is required
  • RETA CIRO Certification (a plus)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of PLCs and other control systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for PLCs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Configure, program, and integrate new PLCs and related control components.
  • Design and implement control strategies using PLC programming languages such as ladder logic and RSLogix.

Our well-established and growing Manufacturing client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Maintenance Technician for this EXCELLENT IMMEDIATE FULL-TIME SEASONAL CAREER OPPORTUNITY.


SALARY - $25.00 TO $29.00 Per hour

LOCATION - Stockton, CA

HOURS -  Monday - Friday, swing shift 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm (Availability to work  up to 6 days a week during the harvest season which begins around mid-  October and ends around end of November).


As a Seasonal  Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining  organization, safety, and preventative maintenance throughout the  facility, outside storage areas and throughout the entire property.

  • Assist senior mechanics to complete PM tasks and maintain a Preventative Maintenance System daily.
  • Assist in Lubricating, cleaning, and performing preventative maintenance to equipment and machinery.
  • Follow all department and company policies and procedures (Safety and Food Safety).
  • Assist  in providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment  during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of  production equipment during machine service.
  • Provide quick responses/solutions to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an Electrical Safety & Lock-out/Tag-out Program (for each machine servicing).
  • Work in a team environment and be supportive of all company initiatives professionally.
  • Hazard Identification and Evaluation of work area.
  • Perform Corrective Maintenance (repairs) on more than 3 of these types of equipment/skills:
  • Electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 480 AC 3 phase, Conveyor Systems (Belts & Pumps),
  • Hydraulics,  Pneumatics, PLC and networks, HVAC, Steam, Robotics, welding (Stick,  and TIG), troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment reorder as necessary.
  • End each shift knowing you made a difference.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two or more years of experience of Maintenance in a Manufacturing Facility
  • Must have sit-down-forklift experience.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to follow procedures.
  • Verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic math and grammar skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within the team.
